University of Texas System
The University of Texas System (informally UT System) encompasses 15 educational institutions in Texas, of which nine are academic universities and six are health institutions. The system is headquartered in Austin and has a total enrollment of over 190,000 students. Its flagship institution is The University of Texas at Austin.

There are nine public universities which compromise the academic institutions of the University of Texas System. The University of Texas at Austin is the flagship school, and one of the largest campuses in the nation, with 38,420 undergraduates in the fall of 2010.

Headquarters
The University of Texas System is headquartered in Downtown Austin.[13] The system headquarters complex includes O. Henry Hall, Claudia Taylor Johnson Hall, Ashbel Smith Hall, the Colorado Building, the Lavaca Building, and the Norwood Tower. Parking garages serving the complex include Parking Garage I, Parking Garage II, Parking Garage III, 300 West 6th Street Parking Garage, and the garage between the Colorado and Lavaca buildings.[14]
